In Prachinburi, continuous heavy rain caused flash floods that submerged a village late at night. Five people were trapped inside their home. Rescue teams attempted to assist but could not enter due to the rapid, strong water currents.
At around 04:00 on 25 Sep 2026, heavy rain was reported in Wang Tha Chang Subdistrict, Kabin Buri District, Prachinburi Province. This led to flash floods inundating Village No. 6 in Wang Tha Chang. The floodwaters submerged one house built next to the Non Sombun canal, trapping five people inside.
Volunteers from the Satja Buddhatham Foundation rescue unit in Kabin Buri have not yet been able to reach the family to provide assistance.
Mr. Phodchorn Karchai Saeng, the village headman of Wang Tha Chang, stated that Village No. 6 experienced flash floods that submerged the Ban Non Sombun-Nong Yai road due to heavy rain throughout the night, making travel impossible. Five people were trapped inside the house of Mr. Samruay Chantanu, including two adults and three children. Rescue volunteers from the Satja Buddhatham Foundation are currently unable to help the family because of the strong, fast-flowing water and ongoing heavy rain. Authorities are working on plans to safely evacuate those trapped inside the house.
