Bangkok residents face severe hardship, with many areas still "waterlogged" after "heavy rain" persisted continuously throughout the day. Currently, many locations are still experiencing severe traffic jams due to waterlogged roads.
Due to the situation of "waterlogging" in Bangkok following continuous rainfall throughout the day, many areas have water accumulation affecting traffic, which began to worsen since the evening.
At 20:45 on 25 Sep 2026, reporters noted that rain continued in many areas, causing floodwaters to remain undrained, resulting in heavy traffic congestion in multiple locations due to water on the roads.
At outbound Phahonyothin Road from Theparak-Saphan Mai intersection heading towards Ying Charoen Market, flooding persists, allowing vehicles to use only the right lane. Meanwhile, outbound Srinakarin Road past Sri Lasal intersection is flooded in all lanes, causing traffic to back up to Seacon Square.
On outbound Ramkhamhaeng Road from Foodland to the entrance of The Mall Bangkapi (Ramkhamhaeng side), floodwaters from Khlong Saen Saep overflow cover three lanes, spilling over the median toward inbound lanes. At the Lam Sali intersection bridge in front of Lumpini Condominium, water levels are high across bothinboundand outbound lanes. Several motorcycles have stalled. Small vehicles are advised to avoid these routes.
On Facebook,the Bangkok Flood Prevention Centerposted that "As of 21:00 on 25 Sep 2026, light to moderate rain covers all Bangkok areas, moving southwest with stable trends. The highest 24-hour rainfall was 189.0 mm in Khlong Sam Wa district."
