The heavy rain has caused flooding in multiple areas of Bangkok and its vicinity, affecting traffic conditions and access to and from the airports. Simultaneously, adverse weather may impact flight operations, causing some flights to be delayed or schedules adjusted according to the situation.
CAAT recommends passengers check flight status through official airline channels before traveling and closely follow updates during unstable weather. They should allow extra time to reach the airports, avoid routes affected by flooding, and consider using rail public transport where available to reduce the risk of missing scheduled flights.
For flights affected by weather causing delays or cancellations, airlines remain responsible for passenger care and assistance in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority regulation 101 (CAAT Regulation 101), including provision of food and beverages, communication facilitation, and offering travel alternatives or refunds as applicable to each case.
