He reported that Bangkok has faced nearly 48 hours of continuous rain since 24 Sep 16:00 GMT+7, with accumulated rainfall nearing 300 mm, equating to approximately 30 million cubic meters of water. The heaviest rain fell in eastern Bangkok; the latest update at 06:00 GMT+7 showed Min Buri district at 274.5 mm and Khlong Sam Wa at 273.0 mm, with additional inflow from Nonthaburi and Pathum Thani provinces continuing.

The accumulated rain has caused critical water levels (red alert) and flooding of houses along main canals including Saen Saeb, Prawet, Lat Phrao, and Prem Prachakorn canals. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is running all pumps on both sides at full capacity, totaling 1,200 cubic meters per second, which has helped stabilize water levels in the canals. If no further rain occurs, the situation is expected to improve within six hours. Thonburi side is less affected than the east, while inner Bangkok around Rattanakosin Island remains unflooded.
Bangkok authorities are prioritizing bedridden patients by deploying staff to all districts for assistance. For emergencies, the 1669 hotline is available immediately. One million sandbags have been prepared and distributed to district offices, and schools not flooded under BMA jurisdiction are opened as temporary shelters. Following the previous declaration of flood zones in three districts, the emergency area now covers the entire city to enable related agencies to assist residents efficiently and swiftly.
Governor Chadchart urged residents to remain at home this morning unless necessary, as many main roads including Ramkhamhaeng, New Phetchaburi, Ekkamai, Senanikom 1, Kingkaew, and Lat Krabang are heavily flooded.
