Flooding at Wing 6 and Don Mueang Airport Advises Passengers to Allow Extra Travel Time

Flooding has been reported on the Wing 6 side, while Don Mueang Airport advises passengers to allow extra travel time due to surrounding floodwaters, emphasizing a 2-3 hour travel buffer.

On 26 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reporters covering the flooding situation in Bangkok after continuous rain found that at Wing 6 Don Mueang, water has accumulated in the Royal Thai Air Force’s aircraft parking area and outside the reception building zone before passengers board flights.

Meanwhile, Don Mueang Airport reported flooding at airport entrances and exits, urging passengers to allow extra travel time. Continuous heavy rain in the area has caused about 10 centimeters of water to pool on road surfaces around the airport, especially at entrances and exits on lanes 3, 5, 6, and 7, potentially leading to traffic congestion and slow movement.

To ensure smooth travel and prevent missed flights, the following guidelines are recommended:

• Allow at least 2 to 3 hours extra travel time to the airport.
• Use the Don Mueang Tollway elevated expressway to access the airport directly, avoiding flooded areas and congestion on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road.
• Utilize public transport by taking the Red Line train to Don Mueang station, then use the connecting skywalk to enter the passenger terminal directly—offering convenience and punctuality.
