26 September 2026The Meteorological Departmenthas announced that heavy rain will persist on 26-27 September 2026, with many areas needing to remain cautious of heavy to very heavy rainfall.

A strong low-pressure cell covers the Central region and Bangkok with vicinity. Along with a fairly strong southwest monsoon, this causes continuous rain in the Central region, Bangkok and vicinity, and the Eastern region, while the North, Northeast, and South regions experience heavy to very heavy rain in some areas.

• Areas already flooded or with significant accumulated rainfall should be cautious of additional rain, especially in low-lying zones and recurrent flood spots, and should check travel routes before departure.
• The upper Gulf of Thailand and upper Andaman Sea have waves 2-3 meters high, exceeding 3 meters in stormy areas. Small boats are advised to stay ashore until 27 September 2026.
• On 28 September 2026, rainfall is expected to decrease but heavy rain will still occur in some western parts of the North and Central regions.
