Patumthani PAO President Pol. Lt. Gen. Kamronwit Thupkrajang, accompanied by Khlong Luang Municipality Mayor, visited the public service point at Wat Saengsan to listen to residents' complaints about floodwaters covering roads and the lack of assistance from central agencies. Meanwhile, Khlong Luang Municipality mobilized machinery and unlimited sandbags and coordinated borrowing water pumps from another province to accelerate flood relief efforts.
At 15:30 on 26 Sep 2026, at the dome of Wat Saengsan, Patumthani Province, Pol. Lt. Gen. Kamronwit Thupkrajang, President of the Patumthani Provincial Administrative Organization, visited the War Room center of Khlong Luang Municipality to monitor flood conditions and urgently seek ways to assist residents. He was welcomed by Mayor Yutsak Chupprasert, Patumthani PAO Council members Thongsuk Saenchak and Pornprinya Srichan, special advisor Khunanon Chupprasert, municipal executives, and volunteer citizens. The atmosphere was tense due to the ongoing flooding.
Representatives of heavily affected residents expressed frustration and questioned the authorities, saying people were unsure if the situation was officially a flood disaster since no declaration had been made. This forced communities to self-help, with some collecting money to buy and distribute food. Even basic goods like eggs were sold out. Roads on both sides of the canal were flooded, preventing small vehicles from passing, and no agency budgets or aid had arrived. They sought the PAO's plans to address this and urged the government to declare the area a disaster zone to enable more assistance, as floodwaters had now overflowed all roads.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Kamronwit Thupkrajang responded to residents' questions, sharply criticizing the slow work of the central agencies. He noted that Bangkok had already declared all 50 districts as disaster areas, yet the Patumthani Disaster Prevention Department remained inactive. He sent a message to the department’s director not to assign officials who only talk but do not act for the people. If they keep waiting for more information while residents suffer, he suggested replacing them, stating such work was unacceptable.
He added that the PAO was proactive, having sent a team to borrow four additional water pumps from Nakhon Sawan Province to install at Canals 5, 6, and 7 to drain water from Rangsit Canal. He also warned residents not to be careless, to prepare shelters, and noted the PAO was preparing to set up a kitchen to support affected residents.
Meanwhile, Khlong Luang Municipality Mayor Yutsak Chupprasert said that during the past two days and nights, helping residents had been very difficult without an official government declaration. However, the municipality had rapidly gathered unlimited sandbags with cooperation from temples, schools, abbots, military from the 11th Regiment, and volunteers who helped fill and transport sandbags. He praised Pol. Lt. Gen. Kamronwit for working tirelessly without rest, inspecting the situation even at night. "When we see our leader working hard, how can we rest while our people suffer?" he said. He confirmed that heavy machinery and excavators were building flood barriers in communities where water had overflowed the banks. Residents in distress could collect unlimited sandbags at Wat Saengsan to protect their homes. The municipality and PAO would support residents until the crisis passed.
