The flood situation in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan province remains severe, with high water levels in many locations. Residents are wading out to stock up on food, with some items completely sold out on shelves, while others have evacuated the area fearing repeated rainfall will cause even higher flooding.
On 26 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reporters surveyed the situation in Chonlathep Village, Bang Phli district, Samut Prakan, finding widespread flooding with high water levels. Some residents had to wade through water leaving their homes, moving essential belongings and luggage to higher ground before gradually relocating to stay with relatives for safety.
At the same time, flooding was also found in several areas including Mangkon–Nakdee Alley and Ying Charoen Alley in Phraek Sa subdistrict, as well as multiple villages in Mueang Samut Prakan and Bang Phli districts. In some spots, water levels showed no sign of receding due to ongoing rainfall.
Later, at 11:25 a.m., the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) issued a flood warning via Cell Broadcast, urging residents to remain vigilant and cautious of potential dangers.
Following the alert, some residents went out to buy fresh food, drinking water, and dry food from convenience stores to stock at home, worried the flooding might not subside soon. Some stores began to experience shortages of certain items, especially fresh and dry foods, as shelves emptied.
In the latest updates across various parts of Samut Prakan province, flooding persists and residents remain affected. Some locals are still awaiting aid and intervention from relevant agencies, while authorities continue to closely monitor the risk of additional rainfall.
