The One Day Trip tourism promotion activity opened in Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province, highlighting agricultural tourism and the sufficiency economy market to stimulate the community economy.
On 26 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported from the Royal Agricultural Museum in Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province, where the Pathum Thani Provincial Tourism and Sports Office held the opening ceremony for the One Day Trip tourism promotion activity in Khlong Luang. This is part of the Pathum Thani agricultural tourism promotion project and the development of tourism personnel capabilities to meet tourism standards and digital tourism for the fiscal year 2026.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Ongkharak Thongniramon, Deputy Governor of Pathum Thani, accompanied by Chief Petty Officer Prasert Malai, Director of the Royal Agricultural Museum; the Khlong Luang District Chief Officer; the Chairman of the Pathum Thani Tourism Industry Council; representatives from the Domestic Travel Business Association, Thai Tourism Promotion Association, Professional Tour Guide Association of Thailand, Thai Tour Operators Association; members of the media; and about 150 members of the public.
The Pathum Thani Provincial Tourism and Sports Office revealed that this event has three main objectives: 1. To stimulate the economy of Pathum Thani Province; 2. To promote and develop potential areas by creating new tourism experiences, featuring educational attractions such as the Royal Agricultural Museum and Adun Khlong Luang Mushroom Farm agricultural tourism site, to increase their recognition; and 3. To publicize Pathum Thani's tourism activities more widely.
The One Day Trip activities include watching a 7D movie and visiting the sufficiency economy market at the Royal Agricultural Museum, followed by a tour of the Adun Khlong Luang Mushroom Farm agricultural tourism site. These activities have received strong interest and positive responses from the private tourism sector and the public.
Mr. Ongkharak Thongniramon, Deputy Governor of Pathum Thani, said in his opening remarks that this event is a valuable opportunity to invite tourists to experience the agricultural lifestyle of Pathum Thani.
"Pathum Thani Province has diverse tourism potential, including religious, historical, cultural dimensions, and local wisdom. Today's One Day Trip activities will encourage tourists to spend and support community products and the province's renowned OTOP products," he added.
Additionally, participants exchanged knowledge through various activity stations, including the Khok Nong Na agricultural model, mushroom cultivation, crafting natural material patterns onto plates, and making mushroom pizza, fostering genuine hands-on agricultural learning.
Pathum Thani Province has integrated efforts with government agencies, the private sector, and the public, resulting in the successful organization of this event. It is expected to promote the growth of agricultural tourism alongside cultural values and local pride, creating added economic value and sustainably distributing income to communities.
