DDPM Updates Flood Situation in 25 Provinces Affecting Over 174,000 Households, Maintains Continuous Surveillance

"Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation" Latest update "Flooding in 25 provinces" Affecting over 174,000 households; machinery mobilized to assist residents while closely monitoring the situation

On 27 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Theeraphat Kachamat, Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), revealed that recent heavy to very heavy rainfall in many areas, combined with water discharge from the northern region joining the central region’s water volume, has caused flooding in 25 provinces: Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Singburi, Chainat, Suphan Buri, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Sa Kaeo, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Buriram, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin—covering 128 districts, 587 subdistricts, 2,500 villages, impacting 174,803 households and 545,022 people—as well as Bangkok’s 50 districts (data from DDPM Situation Center, 27 Sep 2026 GMT+7, 06:00).

• In Phitsanulok province, flooding occurred in six districts: Chat Trakan, Noen Maprang, Wang Thong, Nakhon Thai, Bang Rakam, and Bang Kratum, covering 22 subdistricts and 86 villages, affecting 129 households. Water levels are stable.
• In Phetchabun province, flooding affected five districts: Mueang, Chon Daen, Bueng Sam Phan, Wichian Buri, and Si Thep, spanning eight subdistricts and 17 villages, impacting 79 households. Water levels are decreasing.
• In Nakhon Sawan province, flooding occurred in 10 districts: Phai Sali, Tha Tako, Tak Fa, Phayuha Khiri, Banphot Phisai, Lat Yao, Kao Liao, Mueang, Chum Saeng, and Tha Tako, covering 46 subdistricts and 210 villages, affecting 833 households. Water levels remain stable.
• In Uthai Thani province, flooding affected three districts: Sawang Arom, Nong Khayang, and Mueang, covering three subdistricts and four villages, impacting 60 households. Water levels are stable.
• In Lopburi province, flooding occurred in four districts: Mueang, Tha Luang, Phatthana Nikhom, and Khok Samrong, encompassing 20 subdistricts and 53 villages, affecting 516 households. Water levels remain stable.
• In Chainat province, flooding affected three districts: Mueang, Manorom, and Wat Sing, covering eight subdistricts and 11 villages, impacting 87 households. Water levels are rising.
• In Singburi province, flooding occurred in two districts: In Buri and Phrom Buri, spanning three subdistricts and six villages, affecting 15 households. Water levels are rising.
• In Suphan Buri province, flooding affected five districts: Bang Pla Ma, Song Phi Nong, Mueang, Si Prachan, and Don Chedi, covering 28 subdistricts and 173 villages, impacting 6,385 households. Water levels are rising.
• In Saraburi province, flooding occurred in eight districts: Nong Saeng, Muak Lek, Mueang, Phra Phutthabat, Kaeng Khoi, Nong Khae, Wang Muang, and Nong Don, covering 21 subdistricts and 53 villages, affecting 297 households with one reported death. Water levels are decreasing.
• In Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, flooding affected six districts: Sena, Bang Ban, Phak Hai, Bang Sai, Bang Pa-in, and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, covering 85 subdistricts and 414 villages, impacting 13,971 households. Water levels are rising.
• In Samut Prakan province, flooding occurred in six districts: Mueang, Bang Sao Thong, Bang Phli, Bang Bo, Phra Pradaeng, and Phra Samut Chedi, spanning 32 subdistricts and 266 villages, affecting 124,678 households. Water levels are decreasing.
• In Pathum Thani province, flooding affected six districts: Thanyaburi, Mueang, Sam Khok, Khlong Luang, Lam Luk Ka, and Nong Suea, covering 31 subdistricts and 30 villages, impacting 4,437 households. Water levels are rising.
• In Nakhon Pathom province, flooding occurred in four districts: Mueang, Phutthamonthon, Kamphaeng Saen, and Nakhon Chai Si, covering 15 subdistricts and 15 villages, with damage surveys ongoing. Water levels are stable.
• In Nakhon Nayok province, flooding affected four districts: Pak Phli, Mueang, Ban Na, and Ongkharak, covering 61 subdistricts and 190 villages, impacting 5,038 households. Water levels are rising.
• In Prachinburi province, flooding occurred in seven districts: Kabin Buri, Si Maha Phot, Na Di, Mueang, Prachantakham, Ban Sang, and Si Mahosot, covering 41 subdistricts and 199 villages, affecting 4,106 households. Water levels are rising.
• In Chachoengsao province, flooding affected eight districts: Bang Nam Priao, Phanom Sarakham, Bang Khla, Tha Takiap, Sanam Chai Khet, Plaeng Yao, Mueang, and Ban Pho, covering 30 subdistricts and 119 villages, impacting 2,200 households. Water levels are stable.
• In Sa Kaeo province, flooding occurred in seven districts: Mueang, Watthana Nakhon, Aranyaprathet, Khlong Sung, Khlong Hat, Wang Nam Yen, and Khao Chakan, covering 27 subdistricts and 163 villages, affecting 8,716 households with five reported deaths. Water levels are rising.
• In Chonburi province, flooding affected eight districts: Mueang, Phanat Nikhom, Si Racha, Bang Lamung, Sattahip, Ban Bueng, Nong Yai, and Ko Chan, covering 26 subdistricts and 79 villages, impacting 97 households. Water levels are decreasing.
• In Rayong province, flooding occurred in five districts: Pluak Daeng, Ban Khai, Khao Chamao, Nikhom Phatthana, and Klaeng, spanning five subdistricts and seven villages, affecting 350 households. Water levels are decreasing.
• In Chanthaburi province, flooding affected eight districts: Kaeng Hang Maeo, Pong Nam Ron, Na Yai Am, Khao Khitchakut, Makham, Tha Mai, Khlung, and Mueang, covering 29 subdistricts and 153 villages, impacting 936 households with two reported deaths. Water levels are decreasing.
• In Trat province, flooding occurred in three districts: Bo Rai, Khao Saming, and Mueang, covering 12 subdistricts and 38 villages, affecting 357 households. Water levels are stable.
• In Buriram province, flooding affected six districts: Ban Kruat, Lahan Sai, Nang Rong, Chaloem Phra Kiat, Prakhon Chai, and Non Din Daeng, covering 16 subdistricts and 131 villages, impacting 1,150 households. Water levels are decreasing.
• In Chaiyaphum province, flooding occurred in Kaset Sombun district, covering two subdistricts and five villages, with damage surveys ongoing. Water levels are decreasing.
• In Nakhon Ratchasima province, flooding affected Pak Chong district, covering seven subdistricts and 15 villages, impacting 166 households. Water levels are decreasing.
• In Surin province, flooding occurred in two districts: Phanom Dong Rak and Prasat, covering nine subdistricts and 63 villages, affecting 200 households. Water levels are stable.
• In Bangkok, flooding affected all 50 districts, impacting 52,000 households. Water levels are stable.

Regarding assistance, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has coordinated with local agencies and partner networks to continuously support affected residents, focusing on accelerating water drainage, caring for vulnerable groups, relocating belongings to higher ground, and supplying necessary items to victims, while monitoring and assessing impacts in each area to ensure swift and comprehensive aid.

Meanwhile, Mr. Theeraphat, Director-General of DDPM, instructed provincial DDPM offices in affected areas to promptly monitor and survey damages with relevant agencies to compile data on those affected and prepare assistance according to applicable regulations, while maintaining vigilant water situation monitoring and issuing continuous public warnings until the situation resolves.
