A warm atmosphere welcomed “Nene Royal” and her family back to Phuket after making history by winning America’s Got Talent 2026. Plans are set for an EV parade around the city.
On 27 Sep 2026 at the international arrivals terminal of Phuket Airport, 16-year-old Nene Royal, or Ms. Rattikan Amloy, from Phuket, who made history as the first Thai winner of America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 21, returned with her family and members of the band OZONE on Cathay Pacific flight CX 771, arriving at 10:50 a.m.
Phuket Governor Chotinrin Kerdsom, Phuket Airport Director Monchai Tanod, Nene’s grandmother Kaew Boonkerd, relatives from Cha-uat District in Nakhon Si Thammarat, and fans warmly welcomed them with signs. The governor presented OTOP scarves to Nene and her family to congratulate and welcome them back to Phuket.
Additionally, 89-year-old Kaew Phoolkerd, known as “Mae Thao Kaew,” a beloved elder relative deeply connected to Nene, traveled from Cha-uat District, Nakhon Si Thammarat, to greet her granddaughter with joy.
Grandmother Kaew expressed great happiness at Nene’s success and said that if she meets Nene again, she plans to hug her tightly because she misses her so much, having not seen her for a long time. The last time they met was when Kaew was ill; Nene visited with her mother. At that time, Kaew made a vow that Nene would achieve first place in the competition.
Grandmother Kaew also revealed that after Nene achieved her goal, the family plans to hold a Nora dance ceremony to honor and fulfill the vow. They have already contacted the Nora Phumin troupe to perform on the 5th, though the grandmother does not recall which month. The nickname “Praew” was given by her grandmother when Nene was about two months old.
This evening, Phuket Province will hold a warm welcome and congratulatory event for Nene, providing an opportunity for the public and fans to join in celebrating her global achievement.
The event will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Kosimphi Building, where officials will welcome Nene. Then, an electric vehicle (EV) parade organized by Phuket Municipality will proceed to Limelight Phuket shopping mall. Afterwards, the parade will tour around Phuket city municipality area before ending at Charter Bank Intersection, where Nene will perform music for the public to watch and celebrate her success.
Phuket Governor Chotinrin Kerdsom and Deputy Governor Romdon Hayiawe said that Phuket is preparing warmly to welcome Nene, aiming to create an environment where the public can actively participate in congratulating and encouraging Thailand’s representative.
Those wishing to join the welcome can gather at Limelight Phuket shopping mall from 5:00 p.m. to watch the EV parade pass through Phuket Old Town area, ending at Charter Bank Intersection.
This marks a significant moment for Phuket as Nene has brought fame to Thailand and Phuket on the global stage before returning to reunite with family, fans, and fellow Phuket residents today.
