In Ang Thong, the Nang Noi River flowing through Wiset Chai Chan district has overflowed its banks, flooding low-lying areas. Riverside homes along certain stretches of the Nang Noi have been affected, with 188 households impacted so far.
On 27 Sep, aerial images showed the affected area in Bang Chak subdistrict, Wiset Chai Chan district, Ang Thong province. At the water level monitoring point in Village 9, Bang Chak, the Nang Noi River rose by 6 centimeters and overflowed its banks, flooding low-lying areas and some riverside homes. Currently, a total of 188 households across 2 subdistricts and 7 villages have been affected.
Apichat Sreehra, the district chief of Wiset Chai Chan, along with local administrative organizations, village headmen, and related agencies, are closely monitoring the situation. They have prepared personnel and equipment to provide continuous assistance to affected residents.
Authorities have ordered all areas to monitor water levels 24 hours a day and have issued public warnings for residents in risk zones to prepare to move belongings, electrical appliances, and valuables to higher ground in case water levels rise further.
