On 27 Sep 2026 GMT+7, in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, reporters reported that the water situation at Rama VI Dam in Tha Rua district entered a watch status after the red flag warning was raised. This signals residents to closely monitor water levels because the Pa Sak River is continuously rising.
Following the red flag warning, local residents and nearby communities came to observe the situation at the dam in person to assess water levels and prepare accordingly. Many families began urgently moving belongings, electrical appliances, and valuables to higher ground, fearing the water might rise further and overflow into riverside areas.
Meanwhile, Rama VI Dam is discharging water at 594 cubic meters per second, keeping downstream water levels under close watch. Officials have warned residents living in low-lying areas and riverside communities along the Pa Sak River to prepare by moving belongings to higher ground.
The Royal Irrigation Department is managing the water flow by diverting some water through Rapeepat Canal to help alleviate volume and reduce pressure on the Pa Sak River downstream of Rama VI Dam.
