Another tragedy: flooding in Nawamin 11 alley led to the discovery of an elderly woman's body in her home, suspected to have died from an electric shock. Lat Phrao Police are urgently investigating the cause.
On the evening of 27 Sep 2016, Pol. Col. Thanaphan Phadungkan, chief of Lat Phrao Police Station, along with investigators, inspected the scene of a woman's death in a home flooded to about 50 cm in Nawamin 11 alley, Khlong Chan subdistrict, Bang Kapi district, Bangkok.
At the scene, the body of Mrs. Nantakarn Rattitinun, 80, was found with burn marks on her right arm, initially suspected to be caused by an electric shock. Volunteers from Ruamkatanyu Foundation transported the body to the Forensic Institute at Police General Hospital for autopsy to determine the true cause of death, and for the family to arrange religious funeral rites.
