Following the Cabinet's resolution to designate 28-29 September 2026 as "special public holidays" specifically for Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan due to heavy rain and flooding, state enterprises, private sectors, banks, and hospitals are to consider their operations accordingly.
On 28 September 2026, Pol. Maj. Gen. Kasem Rattanasumawong, Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Police General Hospital, outlined the approach for special public holidays on 28-29 September 2026, citing heavy rain and flooding affecting travel, prioritizing public health and safety.

Similarly, several other hospitals announced they will remain open. "Siriraj Hospital" confirmed normal operations on 28-29 September 2026 across all service units, including Siriraj Hospital, Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital, Kanjanaphisek Medical Center, Prosthetics Clinic, Siriraj-Samut Sakhon Elderly Center, Siriraj H Solutions, and the Drive Thru blood sampling service.
Patients facing travel difficulties who need to reschedule appointments can do so via phone or through the SirirajConnect app.
Meanwhile, "Ramathibodi Hospital" stated it will continue scheduled services, though flooding has reduced service capacity. Patients wishing to reschedule appointments can contact the hospital as follows.
Patients unable to travel are advised to contact the hospital to arrange telemedicine consultations instead.
"Vejkarunrasmi Hospital," under Bangkok Medical Services, announced normal operations. Emergency or severe cases can receive care at the Accident and Emergency Department 24 hours daily.
Patients with appointments who have stable conditions or sufficient medication are encouraged to "reschedule" to avoid travel risks.
