At 13:00 on 28 September 2026, the Sattahip Disaster Response Team deployed to assist residents in Village 4, Krasae Bon Subdistrict, Klaeng District, Rayong, after floodwaters inundated homes and fruit orchards extensively.
The situation revealed that large volumes of water from the Prasae Reservoir flowed into the Prasae River, overflowing into low-lying areas. This caused damage to hundreds of households and agricultural land, especially durian orchards.
After receiving assistance requests from locals, the Sattahip Disaster Response Team mobilized with equipment to help residents and move essential belongings to higher ground. Officials exercised extra caution due to strong currents and rising water levels.
Later, the team received an urgent call from Village 5, Ban Yang Ngam, Krasae Bon Subdistrict, Klaeng, reporting a sudden flood in pig pens. Thousands of pigs were left floating amid strong currents. Officials quickly deployed flat-bottom boats and personnel to rescue the pigs, transporting them to elevated ground amid widespread flooding and challenging conditions.
Currently, water levels have started to recede, though intermittent light rain persists. Authorities and residents continue to monitor the situation closely, preparing for potential heavy rainfall and further water surges.
