The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department has issued a flood warning for Bang Nam Priao, Bang Khla, Khlong Khuean, and Mueang districts in Chachoengsao Province. Residents living along the riverbanks, in low-lying areas, or outside flood barriers are urged to closely monitor the water situation and move their belongings to higher ground.
On 28 September 2026, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DPMD) issued a warning due to continuous rainfall and water inflows from Nakhon Nayok and Prachinburi provinces combined with overflow from Khlong Si Yat and Khlong Rabam dams flowing into the Bang Pakong River. This has caused upper Bang Pakong River areas in Bang Nam Priao, Bang Khla, Khlong Khuean, and Mueang districts of Chachoengsao to experience riverbank overflows flooding riverside and areas outside flood embankments. Residents living along the river, in low-lying locations, or outside flood barriers are advised to closely monitor the water situation, move belongings to higher ground, relocate vehicles, secure valuables and important documents, beware of electric shock risks, and care for vulnerable groups. Those needing assistance should contact local leaders such as village heads or community chiefs.
Consequently, the DPMD collaborated with mobile network providers AIS, True, and NT to send flood warnings via Cell Broadcast to residents in Bang Nam Priao, Bang Khla, Khlong Khuean, and Mueang districts of Chachoengsao Province.
Meanwhile, reporters on the ground surveyed flooding conditions within Phuetsaphanalee 36 Village, Moo 8, Khlong Udom Chon Chor Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chachoengsao Province. Following continuous water level rises throughout yesterday and last night, many residents urgently moved their belongings, cars, motorcycles, and household items out of the area to stay with relatives or at shelters outside the village.
Especially last night, Chachoengsao rescue officials mobilized to assist and evacuate residents still trapped in the village, including children, the elderly, disabled people, and bedridden patients. As a result, the village was notably quiet this morning, with many homes closed and unoccupied. Some households that had not yet decided to evacuate began moving out today.
At the same time, rescue personnel received requests from neighbors to assist a 78-year-old grandmother living alone in her home. They were concerned as rising water levels made it unsafe for her to leave the house, and she had not eaten since she could not access food outside yesterday.
Upon arrival, officials found the grandmother alone at home. She explained that she had turned off the electricity the previous night for safety as water levels rose. Before that, she had called her daughter and son-in-law to ask if she could stay with them, but she was unsure if they could accommodate her.
The grandmother said she had hesitated since yesterday about where to go, but as the water continued rising today, she decided to leave her home first. She planned to go to her daughter’s residence in Khlong Tan district, Bangkok, even though she was uncertain if her daughter and husband could host her, prioritizing leaving the flood area safely.
Officials quickly assisted the grandmother in evacuating her home to protect her from the rising water levels. They coordinated travel arrangements and sought a safe location for her before she proceeded to her destination.
At the village entrance, local government agencies distributed boxed meals and drinking water to residents still stranded and to officials working in the area. However, relief supplies remain insufficient to meet demand because the village previously housed over 1,000 densely populated households before the flooding.
Currently, some parts of the village have water levels around one meter deep, with further rises expected. Authorities are intensively surveying homes with remaining residents, especially vulnerable groups such as the elderly, disabled, children, and bedridden patients, to provide continuous assistance and evacuate them from the area.
