Flooding in Prachinburi has led Kabinburi Hospital to set up a field hospital to care for patients after high floodwaters on Route 304. Critical (red) cases will be referred to Sa Kaeo Hospital.
On 29 September 2026, reports indicate that floodwaters in Prachinburi province remain high, affecting residents, patients, and multiple hospitals.
Dr. Siwabul Chaisongkram, director of Kabinburi Hospital, has established a field hospital at Marie Wittaya School at the Sam Thahan intersection to care for patients unable to reach Kabinburi Hospital due to severe flooding on Route 304 near Nang Laeng Bridge in Mueang Kao Subdistrict, which has cut off the hospital’s service area.
The hospital grounds remain flood-free as it is located on higher ground. However, on the opposite side, where patients cannot access services, they are caring for green-category patients by setting up a field hospital at Marie Wittaya School. Red-category patients in the Sam Thahan area will be referred to Sa Kaeo Hospital. Patient transport is assisted by boats from the volunteer monk team from Ubon Ratchathani and JMC vehicles. Equipment and medical supplies are transported by drone.
On behalf of the volunteer monk team from Ubon Ratchathani province, they responded to a request from Kabinburi Hospital’s director to deliver medical personnel and equipment to the field hospital in Mueang Kao, which is cut off from the main hospital. Patients on that side cannot access services, so they asked us to transport equipment and staff to establish the field hospital there.
There are many patients now due to prolonged exposure to floodwaters and possibly stress-related conditions. The team expects to assist here for about 2–3 days, noting that water levels have dropped about 10 cm since yesterday. They have also established a kitchen preparing 2,000 meal boxes daily for staff and flood victims.
