Flooding in Klaeng District, Rayong Province remains severe with high water levels in many low-lying areas. Urgent efforts are underway to evacuate patients from Klaeng Hospital after floodwaters inside the hospital reached chest height.
On 29 Sep 2026 GMT+7, reports indicated that flooding in the low-lying areas of Klaeng District, Rayong, remains severe, although in some places water levels have started to recede, allowing cleaning efforts. However, all three municipal water pumping stations in Muang Klaeng have been flooded, halting water production and leaving residents without tap water for nearly a week.
At Klaeng Hospital, patients with less severe conditions are being urgently evacuated to locations such as the Klaeng Buddhist Relief Association shrine, Wat Phlong Chang Phueak temple, and the auditorium of Klaeng Witthayasathaworn School. The Muang Klaeng Municipality has arranged these sites to accommodate thousands of displaced people seeking shelter.
Floodwaters continue to flow from the Prasae Reservoir into the area despite no rainfall and sunny conditions today. Relief teams are still delivering food and drinking water to people remaining in flooded zones.
In the afternoon, Rayong Governor Traiphop Wongtrinat took a helicopter from the navy to survey flood-affected areas in Rayong Province and to visit flood victims.
