The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DPC) has issued a flood warning for Mueang Prachinburi, Prachantakham, and Ban Sang districts in Prachinburi Province. Water levels are expected to rise another 50 cm. Residents in vulnerable areas are urged to evacuate immediately to shelters.
On 29 September 2026, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DPC) warned that flooding in Prachinburi Province remains critical in many areas, especially in Prachinburi municipality, Prachantakham, and Ban Sang districts. Water levels are expected to rise by an additional 50 cm. For safety, residents in risk zones are urged to evacuate immediately to shelters, move their vehicles to higher ground, and follow officials' instructions.
The DPC has collaborated with mobile network providers AIS, True, and NT to send flood warnings via Cell Broadcast for Mueang Prachinburi, Prachantakham, and Ban Sang districts in Prachinburi Province.
Reporters covering Prachinburi municipality at around 11:30 a.m. observed water levels exceeding one meter on roads, causing continuous flooding of homes and shops. Some residents used boats to travel and move belongings. Vehicles were parked on the Prachinburi River bridge, a higher area. Local volunteers provided tractors to transport residents within the municipality, while military vehicles were also available. Assistance for moving belongings, vulnerable groups, the elderly, and food supplies is ongoing, relying mainly on rescue teams and military personnel.
Due to this flood, Prachinburi Province declared a flood emergency caused by river overflow and flash floods affecting seven districts, 55 subdistricts, 43,434 villages, 13 communities, and 12,653 households. In Kabin Buri district, 9 subdistricts, 53 villages, 13 communities, and 3,827 households were impacted, along with one school (Municipal School 2), one temple (Wat Mai Tha Phanit), and two roads (Routes 304 and 359).
In Sri Maha Phot district, 7 subdistricts, 30 villages, and 466 households were affected, including one school (Ban Yan Nang Wing School) and one road (Route 3079). In Nadi district, 6 subdistricts, 51 villages, and 484 households were impacted.
In Ban Sang district, 8 subdistricts, 68 villages, and 1,922 households were affected. In Prachantakham district, 9 subdistricts, 63 villages, and 3,643 households were impacted.
In Mueang Prachinburi district, 13 subdistricts, 157 villages, and 1,891 households were affected, along with one school (Wat Prasat Rangsarn School), one road (Route 3044), one temple (Wat Kaew Phichit), and Ban Santry Health Promotion Hospital. Agricultural areas across the seven districts and 68 subdistricts suffered damage affecting 2,772 farmers and 35,413 rai of crops, including 32,378 rai of rice, 1,350 rai of field crops/vegetables, and 1,685 rai of perennial and other plants.
