Warning of High Tide Risk Along Rivers 8 Provinces Urged for Special Vigilance

The Royal Irrigation Department emphasized the high tide risk from 29 Sept to 4 Oct 2026 along the Bang Pakong, Chao Phraya, Tha Chin, and Mae Klong rivers, warning residents in 8 provinces to be especially vigilant, prepare for rising water, move belongings to higher ground, and plan their travel.

On 30 Sept 2026, the Facebook pageof the Royal Irrigation Departmentissued a warning to monitor high tides from 29 September to 4 October 2026. With additional water flowing from upstream, river levels are rising, posing risks to riverside areas and communities outside flood defenses.

Areas to monitor

• Along the Bang Pakong River
• Along the Chao Phraya River
• Along the Tha Chin River
• Along the Mae Klong River

Especially communities outside flood barriers, areas without permanent flood defenses, low-lying zones, and riverbank areas.

• Suksawat Road
• Rama II Road
