Warning Issued for 4-8 Oct 2026: Increased Rainfall Expected Across Thailand, Prepare Accordingly

The Meteorological Department stresses special vigilance from 4 to 8 October 2026, warning that Thailand will see increased rainfall caused by cold air masses meeting warm air. Check the timeline of rainfall occurrence and which regions should prepare first.

On 1 October 2026, the Facebook pageof the Meteorological Departmentposted a special alert for the period 4 to 8 October 2026, identifying areas expecting increased rain: northern, northeastern, eastern, central regions, Bangkok metropolitan area, and southern region.

Starting 4-5 October 2026, the first areas affected will be the northern and northeastern regions. Then on 5-6 October, the eastern, central, Bangkok metropolitan, and upper southern regions will be affected.

By 8-9 October 2026, rain will spread nationwide, impacting the northern, northeastern, eastern, central regions, Bangkok metropolitan area, and southern region.

The public is urged to monitor and stay alert due to the cold air masses clashing with warm air, causing thunderstorms. Continuous updates from the Meteorological Department are recommended.
