Bangkok to Launch Online Flood Relief Application System This Evening

Bangkok is preparing to launch an online system for flood relief aid applications this evening, introducing updated aid criteria and increased maximum amounts according to Ministry of Finance regulations.

On 2 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt announced that the Prime Minister has urged swift support for those affected by flooding. Bangkok is currently preparing to open the online flood relief aid application system this evening.

The system will allow residents to submit applications, attach documents, and upload photos of damage all in one online process, eliminating the initial need to visit district offices or police stations.

The scope of assistance covers damages as defined by criteria, including residential buildings, livelihood equipment, primary housing costs, and cases of injury.

Residents who are unable or uncomfortable using the online system can still submit documents and applications in person at their local district offices as usual.

Residents are advised to follow official links, criteria, and details for aid applications through the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Facebook page.

Aid criteria have been updated with increased financial assistance limits in accordance with Ministry of Finance regulations.

  • Home repair costs will be paid based on actual damage, increased to a maximum of 88,600 baht (previously 49,500 baht).
  • Temporary accommodation costs will be covered up to 3,000 baht per month, for a maximum of two months.
  • Work tool replacement costs will be covered based on actual damage, increased to a maximum of 13,500 baht per household.
  • Medical expenses for outpatients are capped at 2,000 baht, inpatients at 4,000 baht, plus 2,300 baht condolence money for injuries.
  • Funeral expenses for the deceased have been increased to a maximum of 35,700 baht per case.
  • Basic living expenses range approximately from 1,900 to 3,800 baht, depending on the extent of damage.

(Note: Renters can apply for assistance for damaged property and other eligible losses using rental agreements as supporting evidence.)
