The Nan Noi River continues to rise, overflowing and flooding roads in Wiset Chai Chan district, forcing villagers outside the levee to use boats for travel.
On 3 Oct 2026 GMT+7, reports indicated that the Nan Noi River flowing through Pho Thong and Wiset Chai Chan districts in Ang Thong province is steadily rising.
Recently, floodwaters have submerged roads in Village 9, Bang Chak Subdistrict, Wiset Chai Chan district. Villagers outside the levee must use boats to enter and leave the village. Water levels in the Nan Noi River continue to rise, flooding village roads and nearing the levels seen in the 2025 flood.
Mr. Khun Phaen Pukpiboon, 67, from Village 9, Bang Chak Subdistrict, Wiset Chai Chan, said the water has been rising continuously for 3-4 days, but he is not afraid because the municipality has provided boats for transportation. His house, located outside the levee, floods every year.
The Ang Thong Provincial Flood Prevention and Mitigation Command Center reported that the Chao Phraya Dam is releasing water at 2,500 cubic meters per second. This volume has reached Ang Thong province, raising water levels by 15-20 centimeters.
