On Schedule: Meteorological Department Warns of Heavy Rain Expanding Over Bangkok, Moving Westward

On schedule, the Meteorological Department warns that heavy rain is expanding over Bangkok, moving westward toward the Taling Chan, Thawi Watthana, Bang Khae zones, and nearby areas. They recommend checking radar before traveling.

On 4 October 2026, the Facebook page ofthe Meteorological Departmentposted that on 4 Oct 26 at 14:20, heavy rain was expanding over Bangkok.

They cautioned about heavy rain, strong gusts, thunder, and lightning as the rain cluster slowly moves westward over Bangkok, including zones Taling Chan, Thawi Watthana, Bang Khae, and surrounding areas. They advised checking radar before traveling in the afternoon.



Meanwhile, the Bangkok Flood Prevention Center reported conditions as of 14:45: moderate to heavy rain in Prawet, Suan Luang, Phra Nakhon, Pom Prap, Saphan Sung, Bang Kapi, Wang Thonglang, Lat Phrao, Bueng Kum, Khlong Sam Wa, Bang Khen, Sai Mai, Min Buri, Lat Krabang, and Nong Chok districts. The rain is moving northwestward and remains stable. The highest rainfall was recorded in Suan Luang district at 40.5 millimeters.
