This is due to the late rainy season when high pressure or cold air masses from China extend over upper Thailand, combined with a monsoon trough passing through upper southern Thailand, while the southwest monsoon continues to cover the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.

The public is advised to be cautious of dangers from thunderstorms, strong gusty winds, heavy to very heavy rain, and accumulated rainfall, which may cause flash floods and mountain runoff, especially in hillside areas near waterways and low-lying areas that may experience flooding. Avoid open spaces, large trees, and unstable billboards.

In the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand, waves in thunderstorm areas will exceed 2 meters high. Mariners in these waters should check routes and navigate carefully, avoiding areas with thunderstorms.

For safety and to minimize impacts, the public should plan activities and travel cautiously during this period, follow updates from the Meteorological Department, and can access information on their website.http://www.tmd.go.thor call 0-2399-4012-13 and 1182, available 24 hours.
