The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) summarizes that flooding remains in 22 provinces plus Bangkok, affecting 1,145,352 households and 3,183,726 people. A warning is in place for October 9-13, 2026, to monitor unstable weather, heavy rainfall, and strong winds due to changing conditions.


On October 9, 2026, Mr. Nirat Pongsitthaworn, Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, stated that due to the influence of the monsoon trough and unstable weather recently, combined with accumulated water in lowland areas along rivers, flooding currently affects 22 provinces: Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Sing Buri, Chainat, Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi, Ang Thong, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Phetchaburi, Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, and Bangkok. Northern Region

1. Phitsanulok Province: Flooding in Bang Rakam District, covering 3 subdistricts and 5 villages, affecting 61 households with water levels stable.

2. Nakhon Sawan Province: Flooding in 9 districts including Phayuha Khiri, Takhli, Banphot Phisai, Kao Liao, Mueang, Chum Saeng, Tha Tako, Krok Phra, and Nong Bua, covering 77 subdistricts and 398 villages, affecting 5,953 households with water levels decreasing.


Central Region

3. Uthai Thani Province: Flooding in Mueang District, covering 10 subdistricts and 61 villages, affecting 2,220 households with water levels decreasing.

4. Lopburi Province: Flooding in Ban Mi District, covering 8 subdistricts and 33 villages, affecting 1,177 households with water levels decreasing.

5. Chainat Province: Flooding in 4 districts: Mueang, Wat Sing, Manorom, and Sapphaya, covering 22 subdistricts and 64 villages, affecting 4,954 households with water levels decreasing.

13. Pathum Thani Province: Flooding in 7 districts: Thanyaburi, Mueang, Sam Khok, Khlong Luang, Lam Luk Ka, Nong Suea, and Lat Lum Kaeo, covering 60 subdistricts and 507 villages, affecting 246,818 households with 2 deaths; water levels decreasing.

14. Nakhon Pathom Province: Flooding in 3 districts: Nakhon Chai Si, Bang Len, and Sam Phran, covering 54 subdistricts and 412 villages, affecting 21,488 households with water levels decreasing.

19. Prachin Buri Province: Flooding in 7 districts: Kabin Buri, Na Di, Mueang, Si Maha Phot, Prachantakham, Ban Sang, and Si Mahosot, covering 65 subdistricts and 691 villages, affecting 60,317 households with 19 deaths; water levels decreasing.

20. Chachoengsao Province: Flooding in 11 districts including Bang Nam Priao, Bang Khla, Phanom Sarakham, Plaeng Yao, Tha Takiap, Mueang, Sanam Chai Khet, Ban Pho, Bang Pakong, Khlong Khuean, and Ratchasan, covering 93 subdistricts and 875 villages, affecting 64,791 households; water levels rising.

21. Chonburi Province: Flooding in 2 districts: Phanat Nikhom and Phan Thong, covering 12 subdistricts and 63 villages, affecting 2,781 households with water levels decreasing.

22. Rayong Province: Flooding in Klaeng District, covering 1 subdistrict and 2 villages, affecting 20 households with water levels decreasing.


Bangkok

In Bangkok, 329,000 households are affected, with 4 deaths reported; water levels are decreasing.


Nonetheless, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation continues to monitor the situation around the clock, coordinating with provincial authorities in high-risk areas to watch for unstable weather, heavy rainfall, and strong winds from October 9 to 13, 2026, according to the Meteorological Department's announcement. Simultaneously, personnel and disaster relief machinery are mobilized to pump out remaining floodwaters and assist with cleaning and restoring homes in areas where water levels have receded, enabling residents to resume normal life as soon as possible.
