At about 11:30 a.m. on 13 Oct 2026, a report came in of a small plane crash near the Burapha This small airport inside Soi Thung Klom-Tanman 15, Village 8, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. Initially, one pilot was found injured (Dramatic small plane crash in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi, with one pilot injured.)

The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation rescue radio center in Pattaya dispatched volunteers to check the scene and coordinated with Nong Prue Police Station to assist in the investigation.

Upon arrival at the scene, a grassy field next to a concrete crusher about 100 meters from the end of the small airport runway, they found a small blue and white single-engine, two-seat plane, registration HF-FBD, crashed into the wall of a scrap yard, severely damaging the plane, the wall, and the scrap yard roof.

The pilot was also found seriously injured. Identified as 32-year-old Thai-German Martin Buber, he suffered a broken upper left arm and facial lacerations. Rescue teams provided first aid before transporting him to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

Somchai Torphon, 52, a local who recorded part of the crash on video, said that before the incident, Martin had taken off from the small airport. After just 2 minutes of takeoff, the plane was seen circling to return for landing.

While attempting to land, the engine lacked sufficient power, so the pilot tried to throttle up for a Go-Around maneuver, but the plane lost control and crashed behind the runway, injuring the pilot as reported.

At this time, the pilot is reported safe. Police are investigating the cause of the small plane crash and will provide updates as the situation develops.
