(Effective from 18 to 25 October 2026) Announcement No. 4 states that from 18 to 20 October 2026, the South and East regions will have continuous rain with heavy to very heavy rain in some areas.
Then from 21 to 25 October 2026, the lower Northeast, Central region, including Bangkok and vicinity, East, and upper South will see increased rain with heavy to very heavy rain in some areas, along with strong gusts of wind in some places.
People in these areas are advised to be cautious of strong winds, heavy to very heavy rain, and continuous rainfall accumulation, which may cause flash floods, forest runoff floods, and landslides, especially near hillsides close to waterways and low-lying areas. Avoid traveling through frequently flooded routes, particularly lowlands prone to waterlogging.
This is due to a monsoon trough passing over the lower South combined with the southwest monsoon covering the lower Andaman Sea. Subsequently, the monsoon trough will shift northward over the central South, while high pressure or cold air mass from China will cover the upper North, upper Northeast, and the South China Sea.
For the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand areas experiencing thunderstorms, waves will exceed 3 meters in height. Boaters in these seas should navigate with caution and avoid sailing in stormy areas.
