On 21 Oct 2026 GMT+7, the Meteorological Department posted on its Facebook page a warning for Bangkok and surrounding provinces to prepare for thunderstorms. Heavy rain clusters have been detected in Lopburi, Saraburi, Nakhon Nayok, Chachoengsao, and Pathum Thani, moving rapidly westward toward Bangkok and the metropolitan area. The rain is expected to cover the area between 15:45 and 17:30. Citizens should be cautious of heavy rain, thunder, lightning, and strong gusty winds, and avoid open spaces and sheltering under large trees during thunderstorms.
