GULF donated a minibus and van worth 4.5 million baht to enhance Thailand's public dental health capacity, continuing the “GULF Sparks Smiles” project in its sixth year, which has provided oral health care to over 9,300 Thai people already.
Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited (GULF), led by Sitamon Rattanawadee, Director of Corporate Social Activities (first from left), is advancing the quality of life for Thai people by raising awareness about the importance of oral and dental health. Marking National Public Dental Health Day on 21 October 2026, in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry at Chulalongkorn University, they conducted the fourth mobile dental service under the “GULF Sparks Smiles: Brightening Community Smiles” project in its sixth year. They also donated one minibus and one van valued at 4.5 million baht to support dental missions and enhance public dental health capacity. The vehicles were received by Professor Dr. Pornchai Jansisyanon, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Chulalongkorn University (second from left), at the university's Faculty of Dentistry.
The mobile dental service under the “GULF Sparks Smiles: Brightening Community Smiles” project stems from the commitment of GULF and the Faculty of Dentistry at Chulalongkorn University to improve the quality of life for Thai people, especially those with low incomes and residents in remote communities. During the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, the project aimed to provide easy, fast, and free access to basic dental care from dentists, while also encouraging Thais to recognize the importance of oral health care.
Daily dental care is the foundation for creating bright smiles and robust physical and mental health. In 2026, the project conducted four mobile service trips in four locations, providing oral health care to 2,800 people and delivering 3,800 treatments. Over the past six years, the project has cared for the dental health of 9,300 Thai people with a total of 13,800 treatments.
