Between 23-25 October 2026, the East and South will experience continuous rain with some areas seeing heavy to very heavy rainfall. The Lower North, Lower Northeast, Central regions, as well as Bangkok and its vicinity, will have thunderstorms and strong gusty winds in some places.
Residents in these areas are urged to be cautious of strong gusty winds, heavy to very heavy rain, and continuous rainfall accumulation, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff in hillside and low-lying areas.
This is due to a monsoon trough crossing the South, combined with the southwest monsoon covering the lower Andaman Sea, while high pressure or a cold air mass from China extends over the Upper North, Upper Northeast, and the South China Sea, resulting in easterly winds over Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand.
Waves in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand in areas with thunderstorms will exceed 3 meters in height. Mariners in these waters should navigate with caution and avoid sailing in areas experiencing thunderstorms.
