The family of "Hlun Solo" has appealed to the governor of Kalasin to help recover valuable belongings and expedite the autopsy results from Georgia after 90 days since his death.
Regarding the death of Mr. Bawornthat Pengsuk, known as “Hlun Solo,” a famous travel YouTuber who lost contact with his family since 13 July 2026, and was later confirmed deceased in Georgia on 30 July 2026.
Most recently, on 26 Oct 2026 at the Kalasin Provincial Hall, Mr. Suwat Khemtanaphet, Governor of Kalasin, assigned the Damrongtham Center to receive a complaint from Mr. Somsak Bunsri, or “Mos,” Hlun Solo’s older brother, accompanied by their grandmother and sister, who submitted a letter requesting the province’s assistance in coordinating follow-up on the death certificate and investigation results from Georgian authorities, which remain incomplete after more than 90 days since the incident.
Mr. Somsak revealed that over the past three months, the family has continuously pursued the matter through the embassy and relevant agencies. Although preliminary forensic results have been received, the family still has not obtained any official conclusion regarding the cause of death or the final investigation results.
Additionally, personal belongings and items of sentimental value to the family remain in Georgia and have not been returned, causing concern. The family wishes to know the clear procedures and direction for following up. They stress they do not intend to interfere with officials’ work or push for hasty conclusions without evidence, but simply seek the truth and progress through proper channels.
Governor Suwat Khemtanaphet stated that he promised the Hlun family from the beginning to support the grandmother and assist fully. He understands the family’s anxiety over the lack of clear conclusions and the wait for the deceased’s personal belongings.
Initially, the Kalasin governor has ordered the Damrongtham Center to urgently coordinate with relevant agencies and to send an official letter to the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to help follow up on the complete autopsy results, forensic and toxicology details, as well as the recovery of personal belongings, to assist the family within their authority.
