People should be cautious of dangers from accumulated rain that may cause flash floods and mudslides, especially in foothill areas near waterways and low-lying lands prone to flooding.
On 27 Oct 2026, upper Thailand will see decreased rain but still experience strong gusty winds and some heavy showers in the central region. Residents there should beware of hazards from thunderstorms and strong winds and avoid staying in open areas, under large trees, and near unstable billboards.
This is due to a high-pressure system or cold air mass from China covering upper Thailand and the South China Sea, causing easterly winds over upper Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand, while a low-pressure trough moves along the monsoon trough passing through the southern region and the Andaman Sea.
Waves in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand where thunderstorms occur will exceed 2 meters in height. Mariners in these areas should check their routes carefully, navigate cautiously, and avoid sailing during thunderstorms.
