DDPM Continues Flood Relief Transfers in 2026, Adds 52,611 Households Today

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) and Government Savings Bank continue flood relief transfers, with total accumulated funds exceeding 10 billion baht. As of today (29 Oct 2024 GMT+7), an additional 52,611 households across 17 provinces have received payments. Pathum Thani alone will receive over 162 million baht in this transfer.

On 29 Oct 2024 GMT+7, Mr. Nirat Pongsiththaworn, Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, stated that flood relief payments to affected citizens are being managed continuously by DDPM, Government Savings Bank, and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. They have been effectively administering the budget and transferring funds directly into the accounts of victims in multiple areas.

Today, the DDPM sent verified data of flood victims, approved by provincial authorities and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, to the Government Savings Bank for disbursement. The relief covers 17 provinces: Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Chachoengsao, Prachinburi, Nakhon Nayok, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Phanom, Phayao, Kamphaeng Phet, Phetchabun, Suphanburi, Samut Songkhram, and Bangkok. A total of 52,611 households will receive aid, including 21,249 households receiving 9,000 baht and 31,362 households receiving 5,000 baht, amounting to a total transfer of 348,051,000 baht today.

Bangkok continues to transfer relief funds to affected residents, along with the 16 other provinces for which DDPM has forwarded data to the Government Savings Bank. Notably, Pathum Thani will receive over 162 million baht in relief funds today. Once the Government Savings Bank verifies victims' bank accounts linked via PromptPay to their national ID numbers, the funds will be transferred starting at 11:00 a.m. local time.
