Weather Update for 30 Oct 2026: Continuous Rain in Bangkok Metropolitan Area Covering 40% of the Area

Weather check for 30 Oct 2026: This morning, Bangkok and its metropolitan area have continuous rain over 40% of the area. Meanwhile, the southern region has less rain but still some heavy rainfall in certain locations.

On 30 October 2026 at 07:00, the Facebook page of the Meteorological Department reported that rain still covers Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Sakhon, with Nakhon Pathom newly added in the latest update.

In Bangkok, rain was detected along Don Mueang and Laksi areas, with expected rain in some parts of Taling Chan and Thawi Watthana between 07:30 and 08:00, continuing for more than one hour.

. General daily weather outlook WebsiteMeteorological Departmentstated that the 24-hour forecast shows reduced rain in the southern region but still heavy rain in some areas. Meanwhile, upper Thailand—especially the central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, plus the eastern region—will continue to experience thunderstorms and gusty winds in some places. Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious of dangers from thunderstorms, heavy and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and mountain runoff, especially in hillside areas near waterways and lowlands.

This is due to a low-pressure area over the Andaman Sea moving toward the Bay of Bengal, combined with easterly winds covering Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. At the same time, a high-pressure area or cold air mass from China covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea.

For the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, where thunderstorms occur, waves are expected to exceed 2 meters. Boaters should check routes and navigate cautiously, avoiding areas with thunderstorms.
