Mayor of Mai Khao Subdistrict Confirms Phuket Pool Villa Permit Not Submitted by Boom Panadda, Calls for Signature Forgery Investigation

The Mayor of Mai Khao Subdistrict revealed that the person submitting the construction documents for the Phuket pool villa was not Boom Panadda herself but someone authorized by a power of attorney. He confirmed that the office received and processed everything according to proper procedures. Regarding the issue of a forged signature, it must be examined and verified by the relevant authorities instead of the subdistrict office itself.

Following the controversy over donations to the "Good Deeds Organization Foundation" by Boom Panadda Wongpudi, an actress, host, and beauty queen, which involved both foundation and personal bank accounts, attention turned to the luxury pool villa construction in Phuket. The construction permit listed the applicant as Ms. Panadda Wongpudi, the building's owner and project supervisor, which has become a widely discussed topic as previously reported.

At 08:45 on 30 Oct 2016, a reporter contacted Sarawut Srisakukam, Mayor of Mai Khao Subdistrict and the local official who signed the construction permit for a one-story reinforced concrete house totaling 127.95 square meters. The permit identified Ms. Panadda Wongpudi as the applicant and project supervisor. The construction is located at Ban Dan Yid, Village No. 3, Mai Khao Subdistrict, Thalang District, Phuket.

Mayor Sarawut stated that Boom Panadda did not personally submit the documents or the application. Instead, she authorized a close associate to submit the required evidence on her behalf. Mai Khao Subdistrict officials reviewed the applicant's documents, and once complete, the receiving department forwarded the case to the building inspection division for onsite verification before granting construction approval. All steps followed legal procedures.

Regarding claims that a related signature might be forged, the subdistrict office cannot determine if it is genuine or fake. The authorized agent submitted all required documents from the applicant or landowner completely, so the office processed the permit request based on the documents provided. Whether the signature is forged or not must be investigated and verified by the appropriate authorities.
