Weather Conditions Today, 2 Nov 2026: Meteorological Department Warns of Thunderstorms and Strong Gusts Nationwide Bangkok Forecasts 60% Rain

The Meteorological Department weather forecast Thailand will experience thunderstorms and strong gusty winds in some areas, especially in the North, Northeast, Central regions including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East.

The Meteorological Department warns that today Thailand will continue to have thunderstorms and gusty winds.

On 2 Nov 2026, the Meteorological Department's daily weather forecast stated that Thailand will have thunderstorms and strong gusty winds in some areas, particularly in the North, Northeast, Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East. People in these areas are advised to be cautious of hazards from thunderstorms and strong gusts by avoiding open spaces, large trees, and unstable billboards during this period.

This is due to a high-pressure system or a new cold air mass from China that has spread over northern Vietnam and is expected to cover the upper Northeast and the South China Sea today (2 Nov 2026), while easterly winds prevail over the Gulf of Thailand, Thailand, and the Andaman Sea.

Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand waves exceed 2 meters

In the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand, areas with thunderstorms will have waves over 2 meters high. Mariners should navigate with caution and avoid traveling in areas experiencing thunderstorms.
