Rescue officials arrived at the site after receiving a report of a mysterious body found without a head, with arms and legs separated, abandoned in a dense forest in the Koo Bon area. It is estimated the person had been dead for several days.
At 16:30 on 18 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Por Teck Tung rescue volunteers received a report of a deceased person found with their body and legs separated, missing the head, appearing to have been bitten by animals in a reed forest in the Koo Bon area of Bangkok. Based on the condition of the body, it is presumed the death occurred several days ago.
Reporters visited the scene and found a dense reed forest with stagnant water, requiring a 200-meter walk on foot to reach the location where the body was found.
When questioned, rescue officials said the person who reported the body was fishing in the area but then discovered the deceased and immediately notified authorities. Police forensic teams are currently awaited to examine the crime scene.
However, rescue officials speculate the deceased might have been someone who came to fish in the area, but reporters observed no fishing equipment near the site of the incident.
Meanwhile, inquiries with local residents revealed that the area becomes very dark at night due to lack of lighting, and locals rarely use this path because it is isolated and considered unsafe.
Police Colonel Nirutchapon Yothamat, Superintendent of Khan Na Yao Police Station, stated that after receiving the report, officers promptly investigated the scene. No possibilities have been ruled out yet, including suicide or homicide.
Authorities will have rescue personnel transport the body to the forensic institute for detailed examination and identification to determine the true cause of death and proceed with legal actions accordingly.
