
Bangkok residents face harsh conditions this morning as PM 2.5 levels in the city have exceeded standards in many areas, reaching levels that begin to affect health. The pollution trend is increasing.
FacebookBangkok Metropolitan AdministrationA post stated that the Bangkok Air Quality Data Center reported the PM 2.5 particulate matter situation in Bangkok on 20 Dec 2025 at 07:00 GMT+7. The citywide average was 36.7 micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m³), just below the standard limit of 37.5 µg/m³. The report listed the top 12 districts with the highest PM 2.5 levels in Bangkok.
1. Bang Na District: 48.1 µg/m³
2. Prawet District: 47.4 µg/m³
3. Chatuchak District: 44.6 µg/m³
4. Min Buri District: 43.6 µg/m³
5. Bang Rak District: 42.9 µg/m³
6. Nong Khaem District: 42.7 µg/m³
7. Sathorn District: 42.6 µg/m³
8. Pathum Wan District: 42.2 µg/m³
9. Khlong Sam Wa District: 41.4 µg/m³
10. Lat Krabang District: 41 µg/m³
11. Bang Sue District: 40.1 µg/m³
12. Nong Chok District: 40.1 µg/m³
Northern Bangkok ranges from 32.7 to 44.6 µg/m³ overall: Moderate level
Eastern Bangkok ranges from 25.3 to 47.4 µg/m³ overall: Levels beginning to affect health
Central Bangkok ranges from 27.4 to 37.7 µg/m³ overall: Moderate level
Southern Bangkok ranges from 28.9 to 48.1 µg/m³ overall: Levels beginning to affect health
Northern Thonburi ranges from 33.3 to 37.5 µg/m³ overall: Moderate level
Southern Thonburi ranges from 32.9 to 42.7 µg/m³ overall: Moderate level
