ThaiBev Donates Reflective Eco-Friendly Vests Made from Recycled Bottles to Officials for New Year 2026

ThaiBev has donated eco-friendly reflective vests made through a recycled PET bottle process, traffic batons, and beverages to support officials campaigning to reduce accidents during the 2026 New Year festival.

On 29 Dec, Mr. Adisak Thepasun, Chair of the Disaster Relief and Volunteer Project at Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, stated that ThaiBev, in partnership with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), Ministry of Interior, has driven many important projects under the "Happy Community" initiative. This supports government agencies, communities, and various organizations to help reduce accidents continuously since 2018. They have expanded this connection to sustainable development and environmental care by donating eco-friendly reflective vests made from recycled PET bottles following the BCG Model's Reuse policy. Each vest is made from 13 used PET bottles woven into fiber. These vests are distributed to agencies during important festivals. Today, they have donated 5,250 vests, reducing plastic bottle waste by 68,650 bottles, along with 2,300 traffic batons and 1,070 beverage packs to the DDPM, who will distribute them to officials at community checkpoints nationwide. This aims to enhance officials’ efficiency on the roads and ensure public safety of life and property during the New Year festival.

Mr. Apichai Aramsri, Deputy Governor of Nonthaburi Province, said the government, through the Road Safety Operations Center, prioritizes sustainable road safety. The focus is on reducing losses from road accidents and promoting systematic, effective problem management based on safe driving, speed reduction, and accident reduction. The approach centers on area-based management, integrating all sectors—including government, private, and civil society—for strong, continuous operations. This includes involving local administrative organizations, communities, villages, volunteers, and the public to participate and take ownership in preventing and reducing road accidents locally. The goal is to minimize risk factors from people, vehicles, roads, and the environment. He thanked all involved parties—government, private sector, military, police, civil society, networks, foundations, and volunteers—for their cooperation, sacrifice, and dedication during the 2026 New Year festival to reduce loss of life and property for citizens and the state.

Mr. Korn Phanthusen, Head of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office in Nonthaburi Province, said that Nonthaburi’s Road Safety Operations Center has launched a campaign to prevent and reduce road accidents under the main theme of safe driving, speed reduction, and accident reduction. A command center has been established for accident prevention and reduction during the New Year festival to integrate efforts from all sectors—government agencies, private sector, civilians, and volunteers—to facilitate safe travel for the public. This effort has received cooperation from government partners, foundations, volunteers, private companies, and ThaiBev, which has contributed equipment and supplies to support officials at checkpoints during the 2026 New Year festival.
