The Social Security Office held a meeting with the Employer and Employee Councils to explain the reasons and necessity for canceling the production of the 2026 Social Security calendar.
On 3 January 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that recently, the Social Security Office convened a meeting with the Employer and Employee Councils at the Somkiat Chayasriwong Meeting Room, 4th floor, Multipurpose Building, Social Security Office, to explain the reasons and necessity for canceling the production of the 2026 Social Security calendar, aiming to build mutual understanding.
Ms. Kanjana Phoolkaew, Secretary-General of the Social Security Office, stated that the office received inquiries from the Employer and Employee Councils about the production of the 2026 Social Security calendar. Therefore, representatives from both sides were invited to hear the explanation. She confirmed that the Social Security Office had officially canceled the bidding process for the 2026 calendar production due to the necessity arising from an appeal against the bidding results under legal procedures. This led to an inability to produce and deliver the calendar on schedule by December 2025. Continuing the process could damage the Social Security Office’s image and would not be cost-effective, thus necessitating the cancellation.
Regarding the bidding process for printing the 2026 Social Security calendar, the winning bidder was announced on 17 September 2025 GMT+7. Subsequently, an appeal was submitted against the bidding results. The Social Security Office forwarded the matter to the relevant authorities for consideration under the Public Procurement and Supplies Management Act B.E. 2560 (2017). The committee responded on 11 November 2025 GMT+7, ruling the appeal unfounded and allowing procurement to proceed. However, the Social Security Office assessed that the elapsed time adversely affected operations, making it impossible to complete printing and distribution as planned. Consequently, the office canceled the bidding on 1 December 2025 GMT+7.
After the explanation, the Employer and Employee Councils expressed understanding of the reasons and necessity for canceling the 2026 Social Security calendar production. They considered the meeting effective communication, and representatives from both sides will relay the information to their members, employees, and insured persons within their organizations.
The Social Security Office affirmed it will continue to disseminate information about rights, benefits, and services to employers, employees, insured persons, and the public through all communication channels.
This will be done continuously to ensure accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date information is provided.
