
A male teenager, approximately 20-25 years old, fell from BTS Phahon Yothin 24 station and died after hitting the ground. No identification documents were found on him.
At 00:30 on 22 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Police Lieutenant Nipon Sakunpetcharam, Deputy Inspector (Investigation) of Phahon Yothin Police Station, received a report of a man falling from a height near BTS Phahon Yothin 24 station, on the outbound side of Phahon Yothin Road towards Ratchayothin intersection, Lat Yao subdistrict, Chatuchak district, Bangkok. He and volunteers from Poh Teck Tung Foundation rushed to the scene.
At the scene, they found the body of a male teenager, about 20-25 years old, wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt and white shorts, severely injured and unconscious on the road. The Erawan Emergency Medical Service team performed CPR for about 40 minutes but failed. The man was pronounced dead later, with no identification documents found.
Officials reviewed CCTV footage and interviewed BTS staff, who reported that before the incident, the deceased had taken the BTS from Samrong station and arrived at Phahon Yothin 24 station around 22:00. He remained inside the station until about 00:25, when he was found to have fallen approximately 15-20 meters, hitting the road below and suffering severe injuries before emergency responders confirmed his death.
Authorities initially sent the body to the Police General Hospital's forensic institute and are waiting to interview relatives or close contacts to investigate the cause of this tragic incident further.
