PM 2.5 Dust Levels Surge Bangkok Requests WFH Cooperation on 29-30 Jan 2026

"Bangkok Metropolitan Administration" (BMA) requests cooperation for work from home (WFH) during 29-30 January 2026 after PM 2.5 dust levels surged in more than 35 districts, reaching a level starting to affect health.


On 28 January 2026, FacebookBangkok Metropolitan Administrationposted a message titled "BMA Requests Cooperation for WFH" stating, "On 29 - 30 January 2026, PM 2.5 dust levels are forecast to be high, at orange level, which begins to affect health in over 35 districts. The recommended actions are as follows:

  • General public should use protective equipment, such as PM 2.5 masks, every time they go outdoors; limit time spent on activities or strenuous outdoor exercise; and watch for unusual symptoms such as coughing, difficulty breathing, or eye irritation.
  • Vulnerable groups should use protective equipment like PM 2.5 masks every time they go outdoors; avoid strenuous outdoor activities or exercise; follow medical advice; and seek medical attention promptly if symptoms occur.
