The 2026 election campaign enters its last three days, with Dr. Ae, Khun Ying Kanlaya, and Secretary Kongkiat intensifying efforts in Bangkok. Dr. Ae reports very positive public response, emphasizing the party's key policies on education as a remedy for poverty.
On 5 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters described the election campaign atmosphere. At 07:15, Dr. Ae (Mr. Suchatvee Suwansawat), leader of the Thai Khao Mai Party and prime ministerial candidate, campaigned in Laksi and Chatuchak districts. He first met people at the Thung Song Hong morning market and Thung Song Hong Witthaya 1 School, then proceeded to Pracha Nivet 1 Market to support candidate Mr. Chayaphat Prongpreecha in Bangkok's district 8. The morning market at Thung Song Hong was lively, with vendors and shoppers actively engaging. Many greeted Dr. Suchatvee warmly and requested photos.
Meanwhile, Khun Ying Kanlaya Sophonpanich, prime ministerial candidate and Thai Khao Mai Party chairperson, campaigned with candidate Mr. Kan Kittiamphon in Bangkok's district 1 at the old Yaowarat Market. Many locals expressed a desire for her to address economic and national issues. They also wished to see positive change and new directions for the country. Khun Ying Kanlaya emphasized that Thai Khao Mai is ready to transform the nation and improve Thai people's quality of life through human capital development, warning that choosing the same old options will lead to stagnation.
Reporters added that Khun Ying Kanlaya continued campaigning by crossing from the old market to Sampeng. Along the way, she met 78-year-old grandmother Paew, a street vendor, who tearfully embraced her and wished her success in parliament. Grandmother Paew expressed confidence in Khun Ying Kanlaya's integrity and dedication to leading Thailand toward prosperity. Numerous locals also greeted her, some recalling her and stating they had already voted for Thai Khao Mai, which greatly encouraged the political workers. Many raised concerns about economic challenges in trade. Thai Khao Mai's policy aims to support independent vendors and SMEs with a 20,000 baht relief fund, helping workers survive with just their ID card under fair conditions, converting informal debts into breathable credit to sustain the grassroots economy.
Reporters noted that near the end of her campaign, Khun Ying Kanlaya requested voters to give Thai Khao Mai a chance in the final stretch for both constituency and party-list votes (party number 49), promising a better future for children and the country with immediately actionable education policies.
Meanwhile, in this campaign's final phase, Thai Khao Mai has dispersed to multiple areas to present policies and communicate with citizens. Secretary Kongkiat Krasut led a campaign team in Huai Khwang and Wang Thonglang, promoting investment in education to address sustainable livelihood issues.
On the same day, after campaigning for parliamentary candidates, Dr. Suchatvee said the response was very positive because Thai Khao Mai visits morning markets daily. Vendors are happy to meet the real Dr. Ae, and many say they have already chosen the party, giving daily encouragement.
He also noted that the final campaign phase is likely to see mudslinging and conflict, which has characterized elections for the past 20 years. He said the public is tired of this, and the result has been national regression. He argued that continuing with the same old choices will keep the country from advancing. Opening hearts and opportunities to Thai Khao Mai, a new-generation, professional party committed to real work especially in education, will not disappoint.
Regarding the Election Commission (EC) secretary’s statement advising those who distrust the EC not to vote, Dr. Suchatvee saw this as increasing public interest in voting on 8 Feb 2026. He encouraged citizens to participate because elections determine the future for themselves and their children. He also expressed confidence that EC officials will perform their duties fairly, transparently, and with accountability.
"There is no need to fear if you are fair, transparent, and accountable. Ultimately, the EC's performance will prove itself from now until election day and must act with utmost transparency and integrity, including after the election, so the public will have no doubts," said the leader of Thai Khao Mai and prime ministerial candidate.
