Unlocking survival paths for Thai Social Enterprises "IMET MAX X" Year 3 unites 18 executives to build back-end systems and reveals pilot cases transforming crises into leap growth
On 5 Feb 2026, the IMET Foundation reaffirmed the success of the IMET MAX X project, a learning space addressing the needs of social organization leaders (Social Changemakers). It brings together senior executives to reshape and reorganize organizations, opening applications for the third year and showcasing success stories of alumni who revamped their back-end systems to create tangible social impact.
The IMET MAX X project, supported by the Institute of Management Education of Thailand (IMET) Foundation, advances into its third year aiming to elevate the management capabilities of Thai social organization leaders professionally. Former IMET MAX alumni who have succeeded return as mentors to share experience and establish effective management systems for Social Enterprises through intensive mentoring processes designed to help these organizations grow and create sustainable social change.
A highlight of IMET MAX X’s success is Khun Mek—Mr. Thanachai Sunthornwech from "Krua Tangton Dee," a social project under the Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) that develops culinary and life skills for ex-prisoners to help them reintegrate sustainably and reduce recidivism. He shared, "Before meeting my mentor, it was like being an unaware patient—financials were neglected, work lacked structure, tasks weren't delegated, problems accumulated until the company nearly closed. The mentor helped diagnose and redesign our systems, enabling us to survive the crisis and continue benefiting society."
Meanwhile, Khun Chompoo—Ms. Wannakon Pokitdao from "Luk Riang Group," an association for children and youth promoting peace in Thailand’s three southern border provinces, supporting youth affected by unrest, reflected, "Close mentoring helped us correctly define our goals and systematize our work, allowing us to expand youth assistance. The mentor felt like a team member who genuinely wanted our success. Every assignment wasn’t just a task to complete but a tool helping us understand that to create change, we need the right goals and systematic action."
Ms. Jitlada Hanworawongchai, Chair of the IMET MAX X project, stated that passion is a vital and admirable force. With a strong back-end system, social organizations can be well-prepared and grow sustainably. Experience shows that a major challenge for Thai Social Enterprises is managing value alongside sustainability. Many have strong ideals but lack robust systems in marketing, accounting, and systematic evaluation, limiting growth potential. Many are excellent organizations that could sustain if supported by good back-end systems. Therefore, IMET MAX X acts as a mentor to organize the organization through mentoring processes that encourage and support strategic thinking.
The IMET MAX X project was founded on the concept of An eXponential Effect for Good, serving as a space to unlock leaders' potential and foster exponential growth for social organizations. It embodies the Pay it Forward spirit of IMET MAX alumni who return to share knowledge and experience with Thai society. Over the past two years, organizations that have demonstrated successful transformation include Taejai, Luk Riang Group, Noburo, Krua Tangton Dee, insKru, Sati, and Buddy HomeCare.
In 2026, the Institute of Management Education of Thailand (IMET) Foundation continues its success by inviting "Social Changemakers"—legal entities such as limited companies or foundations—to learn through mentoring by 18 senior executives from leading national organizations in the third year of the IMET MAX X project. Applications are open now until 28 February 2026 at imetmaxx.org/apply. For more information, contact LINE OA: @imetmaxx or email imetmaxx@gmail.com.
