The Tai Hong Kong Shrine under the Poh Teck Tung Foundation is preparing a grand 2026 Chinese New Year festival for the Year of the Golden Horse, inviting the public to pay respects to Luang Pu Tai Hong (Tai Hong Gong) and to register for the once-a-year chanting of the Auspicious Mantra (Pa Keng). The event is held only once annually.
On 12 Feb, reporters reported that from 16 to 25 Feb 2026, the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, led by Chairman Wichian Techapaiboon, invites everyone to pay respects to Luang Pu Tai Hong to seek blessings for the 2026 Chinese New Year. Participants can also register to chant the Auspicious Mantra, or Pa Keng, for good fortune throughout the year. This grand ceremony occurs only once a year. Each Pa Keng donation costs 20 baht and can be made according to one’s wish. The options include blessings for family happiness (Gaem Mueng Keng), warding off misfortune (Por Ung Keng), enhancing fortune (Kiu Chai Keng), strengthening destiny (Suay Kung Keng), and promoting stability and longevity (Keung Ki Keng). The event also includes merit-making for warding off misfortune and enhancing blessings with the Year of the Horse zodiac statue. Participants can enjoy auspicious sago pudding symbolizing harmony and lasting happiness. The red amulet (Yantra) of Luang Pu Tai Hong will be blessed for placing on homes or carrying for protection. A golden bell will be rung for a bright life and flourishing career. Additionally, a sacred incense ritual will be performed to pray to the gods of heaven and earth on the birth anniversary (Tee Kong Sa) falling on Tuesday, 24 Feb 2026. Attendees are asked to seek refuge in the power of heaven and earth and to request blessings from sacred figures like Luang Pu Tai Hong for good luck throughout the new year. The foundation will offer overnight services on 16 and 24 Feb 2026.
Regarding the chanting ceremony, the Poh Teck Tung Foundation opened registration for the Auspicious Mantra chanting starting 11 Feb 2026 through two channels: 1) at the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, Plubpla Chai branch, and 2) online via the website www.pttfny.net/cnny.
