
"The Mall Lifestore" opened the grand Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse by inviting the "God of War Guan Yu" with world-class imported acrobatic shows and a full lineup of auspicious activities.
On 12 February 2026, The Mall Lifestore, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and leading private sector partners including Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, Cecure Thailand, Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited, Thai Namthip Corporation Limited, iQIYI, Ant Group Limited, Trip.com Group, Xiaomi Technology (Thailand) Limited, Haier Electrical Appliances (Thailand) Limited, and UnionPay International Limited, held the grand opening ceremony of the Chinese New Year festival “THE MALL LIFESTORE JOY LUCK LOVE CHINESE NEW YEAR 2026: Fire Horse Year of Great Fortune” to mark the new Fire Horse year.
The ceremony took place in the morning at The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan. The highlight was the invitation of the “God of War Guan Yu” statue and a traditional ritual performed according to customs from the Khlong San Guan Yu Shrine, which has a sacred history of over 200 years. Dr. Katha Chinabanchorn led the ceremony at the Heaven Hall of the God of War Guan Yu, a replica constructed at The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan, allowing the public to pay respects for good fortune. The ceremony was honored by Mr. Apichai Aramsri, Deputy Governor of Nonthaburi Province, as chairman, along with executives from government agencies such as Mr. Weerapong Pongsawat, Deputy Director of Activities, Tourism Authority of Thailand; Mr. Warut Panyarachun, Deputy Mayor of Nonthaburi Municipality; and private sector partners including Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, and AIS, who joined the ceremony alongside executives from The Mall Group to pay respects for good fortune.
In the afternoon at M GRAND HALL, The Mall Lifestore Bangkae, the official opening ceremony was held. The event was graced by Ms. Chotika Akkaritkosopakul, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture; Ms. Aranya Pornchaiya, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration; and Mr. Chuvit Siriwechkul, Deputy Governor for Policy and Planning, Tourism Authority of Thailand, who jointly opened the Fire Horse Chinese New Year celebration. The spectacular event featured over 500 performers and was welcomed by Ms. Atchara Ampuch, Senior Executive Vice President, and Mr. Worarak Tulaporn, Chief Marketing Officer, together with private sector partners such as Muang Thai Life Assurance, Zeekr, Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, platform iQIYI, Alipay, and many more.
The Fire Horse Chinese New Year celebration opened with the special show “THE AUSPICIOUS HORSE A YEAR OF GLORY,” expressing the energy of the Fire Horse year with The Elite Warriors parade led by eight handsome men from Mister International Thailand, accompanied by dragons and lions. The grandeur was enhanced by the World-Class Acrobatic Spectacle, an international troupe touring globally and impressing audiences worldwide, along with exclusive performances by famous artists including Nani Hirankrit and popular duo Ter–First One, as well as the “Sky Lantern Wish” performance by BNK48.
Beyond the grand opening, this year’s Chinese New Year festival offers a full range of auspicious activities and entertainment across branches, including worship of auspicious deities and Zodiac Conflict Year (Pee Chong) relief ceremonies; the first-ever glowing plum blossom pole-climbing lion dance competition in Thailand at the Bangkae branch; photo spots and costume dress-up in the style of the popular series “How Dare You... Through the Dimension to the Royal Palace” from iQIYI at The Mall Bangkapi; entertainment by artists such as Beaver–Phatsaphon and Tonliu–Methaphat at The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan on 14 February from 2 p.m.; a spectacular show by Pond Narawit Lertsratkosumphan at The Mall Lifestore Bangkae on 17 February; performances by Surf Theeraphat and Java Phattam at The Mall Korat; and a chance to enjoy auspicious dishes selected from over 3,000 items by Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand restaurants.
