A fire broke out at a residence in the Charansanitwong 46 community. Firefighters sprayed water to control the flames, taking 30 minutes. The fire has now been extinguished.
At 12:24 on 25 February 2026, Police Lieutenant Colonel Jongsak Chansri, Deputy Investigation Chief of Borom Mongkol Police Station, received a report from the Borom Mongkol Fire and Rescue Station of a fire in the Charansanitwong 46 community, Bang Yi Khan Subdistrict, Bang Phlat District. He promptly went to the scene with fire and rescue personnel to inspect the incident.
Upon inspection at the site behind Wat Borom Mongkol, the fire was in a two-and-a-half-story house made of wood and concrete, fully engulfed in flames, spreading to neighboring houses. Officials urgently sprayed water to prevent the fire from spreading widely. However, narrow access roads in the community hindered firefighting efforts, allowing the fire to continue spreading to nearby homes. It took officials 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
The investigation found that five houses were damaged. The fire started in the home of Mr. Mongkol, 80, who was injured with burns and was receiving first aid at the scene.
According to Mr. Thethat Promyat, 70, a witness and relative, who lives opposite the origin house, he saw flames on the second floor of the house. He took a fire extinguisher and rushed upstairs to spray inside the room, but as he opened the door, the fire suddenly flared up intensely. Unable to withstand the heat, he fled the scene. The fire then spread to his house and three neighboring homes.
Preliminary reports indicate no serious injuries or deaths. Officials are investigating the cause of the fire to proceed with legal actions accordingly.
