C&G organized a subgroup meeting to explain environmental plans and update on the progress of the Nong Khaem waste-to-energy project, preparing for system testing scheduled for May 2026.
C&G Environmental Protection (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the operator of a waste incineration-to-electricity project with a capacity of no less than 1,000 tons per day at the Nong Khaem Waste Disposal Center, held a subgroup meeting to clarify information and environmental impact prevention measures (CoP) and presented construction progress to nearby communities in preparation for the system commissioning phase in May 2026.
The meetings were held from 19 to 28 February 2026, focusing on building accurate understanding of compliance with environmental impact prevention and mitigation measures according to the Code of Practice (CoP) report. On 19 February 2026, a joint meeting was held with two main communities in Nong Khaem district, namely the Nong Khaem landfill community and Boonsong community, with representatives from Nong Khaem District Office, Health Service Center 48 (Nakvacharauthit), and Nong Khaem Waste Disposal Center attending to listen and closely exchange views with the public.
Although C&G’s Nong Khaem pilot plant, with a capacity of 300-500 tons per day, has been operating for 10 years, the company continues to prioritize sustainable coexistence with communities. This meeting reported project progress and emphasized advanced incineration technology that efficiently manages waste and coexists with the community while protecting the environment. Continuous environmental monitoring plans have been implemented to ensure operations do not impact the environment or local residents' quality of life.
Additionally, Consultant of Technology Co., Ltd. (COT), acting as environmental advisor, reported monitoring results since construction began. The meetings will expand coverage to include surrounding communities and villages, reflecting the company’s commitment to advancing the project alongside community development and environmental care to sustainably improve residents’ quality of life.
The waste incineration-to-electricity project with a capacity of no less than 1,000 tons per day at the Nong Khaem Waste Disposal Center is located on a 39-rai site on Phutthamonthon Sai 3 Road, Nong Khang Phlu subdistrict, Nong Khaem district, Bangkok. It can handle at least 1,000 tons of waste daily, with a maximum capacity of 1,600 tons per day. The project features advanced technology using a high-temperature (850-1,000 degrees Celsius) closed incinerator system, employing environmentally friendly and community-conscious waste disposal processes.
